Reading Through Time

My two nieces and my nephew are growing up; they no longer ask me to read to them. Instead, they travel through portals of their imagination with chapter books, isolating me from their world. Don’t get me wrong; I am proud that they are such good readers, I am just astonished how independent they are becoming. I miss hearing them say, “Will you read me a story, Auntie Vivian?”, especially from my six-year-old niece.
